Grassy Narrows 20-Unit Apartment Building Construction Project - Public Comments Invited

October 16, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Grassy Narrows 20-Unit Apartment Building Construction Project, located in the community of the Grassy Narrows First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Grassy Narrows First Nation is proposing the construction of a 20-Unit Apartment Building as part of the community's need for adequate housing. Project activities will involve site preparation, including tree removal and earthworks, lot development for parking, building construction and utility connections.
