Text: The datacentre is presented as an investment, but with the pop of the AI bubble looming, the potential benefits to industry do not outweigh the costs. The environmental toll will last decades beyond the 25 years of potential outlined by this proposal. As Albertans face water restrictions, we should think long and hard about contaminating remaining groundwater with nonessential datacentres.
