Big Grassy River First Nation - Micro Subdivision Development

Big Grassy River First Nation is proposing a micro subdivision development project. The project involve grading the housing lots, constructing of a chip seal roadway and turnaround, constructing drainage ditches along the roadway, and installation of water, sewer, and hydro infrastructure to the housing lots. Physical activities include tree clearing, land grading, road construction, and utility installation. The footprint of the micro subdivision is approximately 20,800 m2 with 4,200 m2 for road and driveways, 16,600 m2 for lot grading, 226 m of watermain piping, and 8 shared septic systems/ tanks along the roads and on cleared lots.

March 27, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
