Rycroft Alternative Water Hub Facility Project

Trace Water Solutions Ltd. is proposing to construct and operate an oilfield wastewater treatment facility, located near Woking in Birch Hill County, Alberta. As proposed, the Rycroft Alternative Water Hub Facility Project would be located 250 metres from the nearest watercourse, which feeds into Kakut Lake, which is located 1500 metres away from the proposed project.

December 12, 2019 - The Minister of Environment and Climate Change has determined that the Rycroft Alternative Water Hub Facility Project proposed by Trace Water Solutions Ltd. does not warrant designation under the Impact Assessment Act. The reasons for the Minister’s determination are provided in the Minister’s response.
