Boundary Fence Construction - Bird's Eye Lake Section

Parks Canada is proposing to construct a 1.7 km section of wildlife fence near Bird's Eye Lake in Waterton Lakes National Park. The fence will close a gap in the existing boundary fencing and is intended to support future wildlife management, including the anticipated arrival of free-roaming bison. It will replace a temporary electric fence that has been used seasonally to prevent livestock incursion into the park. The alignment avoids direct disturbance to Bird's Eye Lake and is designed to minimize new ground disturbance by following existing cleared or previously disturbed areas.
