New Fibre Installation

Cogeco Communications proposes the construction and operation of a broadband fibre-optic network to service approximately 789 households throughout the reserve lands of Walpole Island First Nation. This project will include last-mile network to improve broadband access within the reserve lands and will predominately use Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) technology to deliver high-speed internet. The last mile network is supported by either existing or new 10 Gbps backbone connections to Cogeco's core IP backbone network.
