Esk'etemc First Nation - Telus Telecommunications Tower - Alkali Lake

The Project includes construction of a 30 m high monopole Telus telecommunications tower, and installation of associated equipment including an 8' x 10' equipment shelter, and a 40 kW generator set with a diesel tank. The tower and associated equipment will be constructed on a 12 x 12 m gravel pad compound area. A chainlink fence will be constructed around the tower, generator, and shelter to prevent unauthorized access. The electrical routing extending from the compound will include:  a new 26 m overhead power line with a single Telus utility pole that will extend from the shelter to an existing hydro pole along Esket Drive. The Project footprint is occurring within a disturbed, rural residential area.

Esk'etemc First Nation - Telus Telecommunications Tower - Alkali Lake – Public Comments Invited

 

January 19, 2024 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed "Esk'etemc First Nation - Telus Telecommunications Tower - Alkali Lake", located in Alkali Lake, British Colombia is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.
